Chennai Inter-Theologiate Seminar (CITS) was hosted by Gurukul Lutheran Theological College & Research Institute on Thursday, 13th November 2014. The theme was THE PROPAGANDA OF DEVELOPMENT AND THE AGENDA OF HINDUTVA: CONCERNS AND CHALLENGES. Nearly 156 delegates from four sister seminaries had participated in the seminar.

Rev. Dr. K. David Udayakumar, Principal, Gurukul had welcomed the gathering and led in the morning devotion. The theme of the seminar was introduced by Rev. Baila Chennakesavulu, the student General Secretary of Gurkul. The following papers were presented during the day long consultation.

  1. The Agenda of Hindutva in Development by Mr. Pranayabin Coymin Hiya & Rev. William Charles J., Gurukul and it was responded by Fr. Joseph Felix Michel, Sacred Heart.
  2. The Forces behind the Hindutva Development by Fr. V.J. Anjo & Fr. C. Vasu Babu, Sacred Heart and it was responded by Prof. Dr. Maria Arul Raj, Arulkadal.
  3. Hindutva Development: The Oppression of The Excluded by Rev. Christu Raja & Rev. Wenishraj Rayappan, Arulkadal and it was responded by Fr. Ulaga Raj, Madras University.
  4. The Place of Secular Forces to Counter the Hindutva Development by Rev. Karthikeyan, Madras University and it was responded by Rev. Ebenezer Shine Kumar, Gurukul.

The following sessions were moderated by the representatives of the seminaries. In the evening there was a panel discussion and the it was proposed that the papers that were presented in the CITS seminaries should be published. Rev. Kanithi Ranjit Kumar, Convenor of CITS - 2014, proposed the vote of thanks.
