REV. DR. S. DAVID JOSEPH RAJ

REV. DR. S. DAVID JOSEPH RAJ serves as an Assistant Professor of History of Christianity at GLTC, Chennai and is an ordained priest of the Church of South India. He has completed his secular degrees B.A., History (1997) from Scott Christian College, Nagercoil and M.A., History (2004) from Annamalai University. He has earned his B.D., degree (2003) from the Serampore College, Theology Department Serampore and M.Th., (2008) from the Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary, Madurai with specialization in the area of History of Christianity and his thesis entitled “Church of South India Pastoral Aid Department.” He has secured his Doctoral of Theology (D.Th.) degree from the Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai in 2018 and his doctoral research was on “The Ecumenical Vision and Achievements of the National Council of Churches in India: A Historical Appraisal.” He has been in the pastoral and teaching ministry for more than 23 years in the Church of South India – Kanyakumari Diocese.
