The programme enriches and develops student’s background for Christian service under close supervision. It provides access to congregation-related ministries such as Sunday School ministry; work among youth and women; house visits with the pastors; hospital and prison ministry; and involvement in worship and preaching during the regular four-year period of study. It is based on the four-fold ministry of the Church – worshiping God; shepherding God’s people; proclaiming God’s Word; and augmenting God’s Kingdom through peace and justice. Students closely work with the assigned local supervisors and learn through observation and participation. During the first year, they are taken to the churches of different denominations and exposed to different ecclesiastical traditions and practices to facilitate ecumenical understanding and respect for other traditions. This organized training programme enhances their leadership skills and stimulates personal and ministerial formation.
