The rural and urban exposure programmes away from the campus (particularly during the semester and summer breaks) are designed to help students engage in more intensive and in-depth field work. Staying in the ministry field and involving in context-specific ministries provide ample opportunities to have a guided experience in the work of congregations and other life situations. This motivates students to learn and to serve; discover for themselves the meaning of the Gospel; and develop the essential sensitivity, ability and responsibility to take care of others including the nature. It helps to develop the ability for pastoral care, ecological concern, and community development. The object of this is to train students and challenge congregations towards a holistic ministry of the church.
