Biography:

Rev. Dr. D.  Samuel Sounderaraj Singh is an ordained presbyter of the Church of South India, Madras Diocese, currently fulfilling the role of Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Gurukul. With a rich tapestry of experiences, Dr. Samuel S. Singh has dedicated the past six years to the academic landscape of Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, contributing to the growth and development of knowledge in the communication field, holding the full responsibility of GLTC MEDIA and college website.

 Dr. Samuel S. Singh’s theological journey began with BD studies at Serampore College, Serampore, followed by an enriching pursuit of knowledge with an M.Th from Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Chennai. His passion for communication led him to achieve M.A. and M.Phil degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication. He further solidified his academic standing by completing the PhD at Annamalai University as a regular research scholar, delving into the intricacies of Rural Mass.

Over two decades, Dr. Samuel S. Singh has honed his pedagogical skills, serving as a Lecturer at ITS, Avadi, and Southern Asia Christian College, Chennai. This extensive teaching experience has allowed him to mentor and guide numerous Post-Graduate students over the past six years. Dr. Samuel S. Singh’s doctoral research work, marked by its interdisciplinary approach, has made a significant contribution to the field of Rural Mass. The culmination of this effort was the conferment of the doctoral degree by the then esteemed Tamilnadu Governor, Banwarilal Purohit. Rev. Dr. Samuel S. Singh also takes pride in having presented papers and published articles in various national and international academic journals, showcasing his commitment to advancing scholarly discourse. He continues his theological journey in academic, remains dedicated to fostering a vibrant learning environment and nurturing the intellectual growth of seminary students and for the D.Min (Doctorate in Ministry, under Senate of Serampore College (University) Students as thesis guide.
