Celebrating the 80th CSI Formation Day at Gurukul

A Special Holy Communion Service commemorating the 80th CSI Formation Day was held at the Schwann Memorial Chapel on 23 September 2026.

We were blessed to have Rev. Indira Paul, Bishop Amma and Director of the Women’s Board, CSI Madras Diocese, as the Guest Speaker. She delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking sermon on the theme, “Historical, Theological and Ministerial Significance of the Church.” Her message invited us to reflect deeply on the rich heritage of the Church, its theological calling, and its continuing mission in the world.

The worship service was presided over by our beloved Principal, Rev. Prof. Dr. Joseph Prabhakar Dayam. Faculty members and student-friends participated wholeheartedly in this special Eucharistic celebration, making it a meaningful expression of our shared faith, fellowship, and commitment to the mission of the Church.

The CSI Day celebration concluded with a special community lunch, bringing the entire Gurukul community together in joyful fellowship.

As we commemorate 80 years of the Church of South India, may we continue to remain united in Christ, faithful to our calling, and committed to serving God and God’s people in the world.

“United in Christ, Called to Serve, Sent to Witness.”
