I am presently serving as the Parish Pastor of Bhejaput Parish, cum Dean of Damanjodi Deanery. The newly established Damanjodi Deanery consists of three parishes: Bhejaput Parish, Semiliguda Parish, and NALCO Township Parish. By the grace of God, I have the privilege of serving as the first Dean of this new Deanery.

As the first Dean, I have many responsibilities and much work to do in establishing, organizing, strengthening, and developing the ministry of the new Deanery. I am grateful to God for giving me this opportunity to serve His Church and His people.

Damanjodi is also a beautiful place surrounded by nature. There are more than 20 beautiful and significant places of attraction in and around Damanjodi. There are also several Lutheran churches in this region. The natural beauty, local communities, churches, and diverse cultural setting make this area a meaningful place for learning and ministry.

During our time at Gurukul, we had opportunities to do practical work by visiting different places and learning from people and communities. In the same way, I believe that Gurukul Lutheran Theological College could consider sending some students to this area for practical exposure and ministry experience. They could learn about the life, culture, traditions, challenges, and faith experiences of the people of this land and region, while also participating in ministry and community engagement.

I studied my Bachelor of Divinity (BD) at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Chennai, from 2011 to 2014. I remain deeply grateful to Gurukul Lutheran Theological College for the support, guidance, and encouragement I received during my theological studies.

I remember with great love and gratitude all the faculty members who helped and guided me with love, care, and encouragement throughout my time at the college. Their contribution has played an important role in shaping my theological education and ministry.

I was also blessed to receive the “Hero of the Year” Award during my time at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College. This remains a precious memory and encouragement in my ministry.

I sincerely thank Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Chennai, for everything the institution has invested in my life and ministry. I continue to remember the college, its faculty, and all my teachers with gratitude.

May God richly bless Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, all its faculty members, staff, students, and its ministry. May the Lord continue to use GLTC to equip many more servants for His Church and Kingdom.

With gratitude in Christ,
Rev. Samuel Benedict Suna
